'Call of the Void' Smiley Screenprint - LAVENDER PURPLE

Where were you in 92’?

This screenprint is WRKSHP33’s take on the classic ‘Smiley’ face design.

Inspired by rave flyers of the early 90’s, these designs adorned many a wall of dance music lovers during the early to late nineties, from lo-fi looking zine style designs to full colour surrealist futuristic designs.

The Smiley face design has travelled far from its early 1960s origins, changing like a constantly mutating virus: from early-70s fad to late-80s acid house culture, from millennial txt option to signature and ubiquitous emoticon.

This one colour screen print on G F Smith paper is a real standout piece for any home, bringing a subtle pop of colour to your wall. With its pastel tones, it looks great on its own or in a set of 2, or even 3 mounted and framed side by side.

The 'Call of the Void' is that feeling you feel when you stand in a high place and think about jumping, but don't actually want to and don't actually do it. If you've experienced this feeling there's no definitive conclusion or explanation for why. "High place phenomenon" is what scientists call it.

This print comes in 2 sizes: A3 and A2, and is also available in Sorbet Yellow and Candy Pink colourways.
